People who hate the EU for being so influential. The Brits have always disliked having to deal with the continent. The worst thing is that politicians - and not just in the UK - like to use the EU as a scapegoat for all the bad shit that happens while taking credit for the good things that the EU does. Of course the EU has its flaws and is in need of reforms, but it's just sad to pretend that it has ruined everything and the only way to fix everything is to just abandon your allies.

Usually larger machines are reflective of having a more powerful generator, as well as better armor and weapon capabilities. In-universe though, this led to a trend where as generator capacities increased, the machines would be made larger and larger but would not have reflective speed capabilities. This changed around the time of the F91 movies where generator technology was focused more on miniaturization, so more powerful generators were being made smaller, and mobile suits were made smaller as a result, meaning that the speed capability increased dramatically. The lack of armor was mitigated by developing beam shields, which had virtually no mass besides their emitter.

Not really, except the F91 Gundam, which had a feature where in order to go faster it would shed of particles of its armor, leading to the famous 'after-images with mass' quote. Furthermore the beam shields aren't barriers that surround the whole mobile suit, but actual shields mounted on the arms.
Unfortunately there isn't a lot of representation of latter-end UC besides F91 and Victory Gundam, which also had some very interesting use of the beam shields where the enemy grunt units would transform into helicopters and use the beam shields as rotors.

It gets better, the main enemy forces invade in the latter half of the series with giant mono-wheels that the mobile suits either ride in or already have equipped, and their battleships are on giant wheels as well in order to crush buildings and anything else that's directly in front of them as part of a scorched Earth campaign.

Uso Evin, the main character of Victory Gundam, is the best pilot hands-down. He's definitely the most skilled, he pulls off lots of crazy maneuvers and tactics, uses his Mobile Suit to its full advantage, and unfortunately his Newtype powers are mostly enabled for combat instead of communication. The heroes of Victory are guerrilla forces, and once the unit Uso's part of meets up with the main forces, he has to lie about his kill-count because it's so high at that point they'd think he was bullshitting them.

Victory Gundam is brutal as hell. I'm not the kind of guy that generally likes lots of death in the main and side cast but whenever it happens Uso really feels it and it builds into his character and general themes of the story.

It's been about a year since I watched it in its entirety, but any time he uses his Gundam's separation ability is great since it's really unique. The Victory Gundam is made up of three distinct parts, with the Core Fighter jet holding the head and turning into the torso, an upper part for the arms, and a lower part for the legs. It really tosses up the choreography of the series in general because it's turning a humanoid v humanoid battle into a jet/humanoid v helicopter/humanoid/wheel battle throughout the series.

I can't recommend it off the bat because a lot of Gundam is a cumulative experience, but Victory is a really good show. Not perfect, the plot gets a fair amount of mileage from Shakti getting kidnapped, but the women in general are good characters so it's not just 'the one girl in the show is there to be a victim.' Though a lot of the women also die, but a lot of people die in Victory.

The currently-airing Unicorn dub is also good, but it's really in deep with UC plot, politics, and continuity, but it's very good speculative fiction.

>Zeon is a separatist government that wants to advance the human race but is run by Nazis so their legitimacy is tainted
>there's a box holding information that can overthrow the Federation and legitimize Zeon but the information will no doubt lead to war

>female lead is princess has been in the past three series and has grown up in constant struggle, wants to prevent the war from the box being opened
>male lead is a space case that's one of the psychics the series is about who has little direction in life until female lead comes in and he essentially becomes her white knight
>rival character is born into privilege and is skilled as a pilot, very much wants to be a heroic figure but has a huge chip on his shoulder regarding male lead
>female supporting character is the grown-up version of a psychic loli clone soldier from the original series who has latched onto father figures her entire life and whose arc is about becoming her own person and doing what she wants

Frame perfect is not small! It's frame perfect!
Look there's a very easy way to verify it. You can parry it even at the END of the hit animation, if you manage a late parry the laser will glitch, playing the "deflected by shield" animation as it shoots off to the side only for time to slow down and the beam to swiftly place itself back on path.
So the very fact that you can catch the laser at more than one point in the animation is proof it cannot be frame perfect. By definition.

 No.832512

>>832511
The opposite is true, if you are killed by the laser you can see the laser is all one shaft rather than a single projectile, meaning it happens instantly, captured all in one frozen frame, therefore frame perfect

Frame perfect IS a small duration, and small is not huge

 No.832513

>>832512
>is all one shaft rather than a single projectile, meaning it happens instantly,
This is completely false! It's a long lasting animation, the laser is drawn for as long as half a second! That's, even by Switch standards, 10 frames at the very least!

In retrospect, after taking on Thunderblight Ganon, Windblight Ganon was almost a joke. Also, since it seems that divine beast has some of the easier puzzles and you don't have to go to cold areas until after the Snowquill gear is available, this is probably intended to be your second boss.

The ability granted for beating him, Rivali's Gale trivializes a lot of mountain climbing and tower scouting, so much so that I regret not doing this one early before I explored most of the world. I would definitely advise hitting this one up early.

You mean space stations? In that case no. Or at least I think so.

> Orbital Habitats are massive space stations that function like small (currently size 12, though this may not be the final number) planets that (like Gaia Planets and Ringworlds) have 100% habitability for all species. They can be built around any non-habitable planet (not asteroid or moon) in your space, and there is no limit to the amount you can build other than the number of such planets you have to build them around. Habitats function exactly like a planet: They can be colonized with whatever Pops you want to live there, they can be worked for resources by constructing buildings there, and they count as a planet for the purpose of empire research costs. In order to build a habitat, you need to have researched the maximum level of spaceport technology and picked the 'Voidborn' Ascension Perk

I somehow ended up taking him down with only six estus charges, three usages of second chance tears, and dodgerolling like a hyperactive hedgehog.
You know that building with the swamp preachers surrounding it, near where the bonfire shortcut lets out? You can use that to take cover from the arrows/death trails, and then run at the giant while he's got his knights out. If you're lucky, he'll try to take a swing at you and then you just cut him down like an ornery tree.
As for benefit, the first time you kill them they drop a blessing item, and after that they just have a decent number of souls I think. Don't know if they drop anything else.

About Spellbound/Wizardquest: Judging by the responses I got, people seemed to favor a non-pony quest so that's what I'm rolling with. This was originally meant to be a Pony quest back last year, but that's not a big deal since I can just convert it to a different setting.

Unless people have strong objections, I do think I'll be using FC after all since it's something we all know. If someone who is interested doesn't find the existing FC classes satisfactory, you could always try to find a good homebrew on the forums and present that to me instead.

If we do use FC, I need to figure out if I want any of the special campaign qualities aside from Miracles and Sorcery. Fast Feats is probably a given, because I'm a big fan of that one.

As for the setting itself, I'll inform you guys on that further soon enough. Just know that the old 'Mage Academy with questionable work ethics' idea still stands. This is not your prestigious Celestia's school for gifted unicorns.

The core idea is the same though. You're signing up for a school with a pretty fishy reputation, so you're either poor, unwanted or just have parents who don't care much for you. Your character should probably be somewhere between 16 and 18 years old. Set in FC's Reason era.
